Semarang (23/4) – Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) participates in the INTENSE (International Industrial Talents Education) Programs Education Fair 2026 held at Muladi Dome, Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Semarang, on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The event serves as a platform for international educational collaboration between Indonesia and Taiwan, bringing together higher education institutions, government representatives, and industry partners to expand educational opportunities and global talent development.

UNUSA is represented by the Manager of Language Center and Global Partnership, Mrs. Syiddatul Budury, and the Head of Academic Sub-Directorate, Mrs. Nurul Kamariyah, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes. UNUSA’s participation reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening its international network and providing broader access to global education opportunities for students.

The event gathers various stakeholders from Indonesia and Taiwan, including representatives from Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO), Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, INTENSE Office, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as leaders from universities in both countries.

Through this event, UNUSA gains strategic information regarding the INTENSE Program, a scholarship program from Taiwan’s Ministry of Education that offers opportunities for further study, internships, and career pathways in Taiwan’s industries. The program aims to prepare young generations to compete in global industries, particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, semiconductors, mathematics, and finance.

Mrs. Syiddatul Budury states that UNUSA’s participation in international events serves as a strategic step to expand academic cooperation and international student mobility.

“UNUSA continues to strengthen global partnerships with international institutions. Through participation in this event, we hope more opportunities become available for UNUSA students to gain international learning experiences, internships, and competency development,” she says.

In addition to attending seminars and discussion sessions, UNUSA representatives also join a series of activities, including the Indonesia–Taiwan Rectors’ High-Level Meeting, visits to partner university booths from Taiwan, and discussions on potential academic and industrial collaborations.

UNUSA’s participation in the INTENSE Programs Education Fair 2026 is expected to create wider collaboration opportunities while increasing students’ access to international programs that support competency development and enhance graduates’ global competitiveness. (Nurul/ Genus)
