BANDUNG — Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) continues to strengthen its internationalization efforts by actively participating in the P2A Indonesia Chapter Annual Meeting 2026 at Telkom University, Bandung.

This annual forum carries the theme “Strengthening Regional Mobility through Alignment, Reciprocity, and Sustainability” and serves as a strategic platform for higher education institutions to expand cross-border collaboration, particularly within the ASEAN region.

UNUSA is represented by Dr. Ika Mardiyanti, Director of Cooperation and Global Ranking, who joins various strategic discussions focusing on academic mobility development, including student exchange programs, research collaboration, and international internship opportunities.

According to Ika, UNUSA’s participation in the P2A consortium plays an important role in expanding access to global collaboration. “P2A is an international consortium that facilitates interaction among universities in ASEAN through inbound and outbound student mobility, research collaboration, and internship programs. It also becomes a strategic initiative for UNUSA in supporting the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI),” she says.

The forum also features several national higher education leaders, including Suyanto, Rector of Telkom University; Rini Setiowati, Vice Rector for Collaboration and Global Engagement of BINUS University and Secretary of P2A Indonesia Chapter; and Fathul Wahid, Rector of Universitas Islam Indonesia.

In addition to becoming a platform for sharing best practices, the meeting discusses strategies for sustaining collaboration among higher education institutions at the regional level. The discussion highlights program alignment, reciprocity principles, and sustainability as key elements in creating a more inclusive and impactful academic mobility ecosystem.

UNUSA’s active participation in this international forum reinforces the institution’s commitment to strengthening its global competitiveness. Through stronger networks and strategic partnerships, UNUSA creates more opportunities for students and lecturers to gain international exposure while enhancing the quality of education and research.
