Surabaya, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (Unusa) warmly welcomed representatives from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia. The representatives, consisting of 10 lecturers and 3 students, was received in the Rector’s meeting room on the 8th floor of Unusa (9/7).

The meeting was attended by Unusa’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng, along with the Vice Rector, Deans, and Vice Deans of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, as well as the heads of the study programs. The event commenced with a welcoming speech by Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng, who introduced Unusa and highlighted the university’s achievements and ongoing initiatives.

“Unusa is private university that currently has achieved the highest level of accreditation in Indonesia or we commonly called it unggul” said Jazidie.

The second speech was delivered by Dr. Siti Khuzaimah Ahmad Sharoni, Head of the Nursing Study Program at Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia. Dr. Siti Khuzaimah discussed potential collaborative opportunities between the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at Unusa and UiTM, emphasizing the benefits such partnerships could bring to both institutions.

“There are so many potential collaborations that we could have such as joint projects, student and faculty exchanges, and other forms of cooperation that could enhance educational experiences, we will discuss it further with the faculty member of nursing and midwifery faculty” said Khuzaimah

The visit marked a significant step towards fostering academic and research collaborations between the two universities, particularly in the fields of nursing and midwifery. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm about the possibilities of future joint projects, student and faculty exchanges, and other forms of cooperation that could enhance educational experiences and research outputs.
