Nepal – Dr. Ubaidillah Zuhdi, a lecturer from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (Unusa), recently seize a valuable opportunity to serve as a Guest Lecturer at three renowned universities in Nepal. During his visit, Ubaidillah shares valuable experiences about his life abroad with the students.

“We, the lecturers at Unusa, are continuously striving and actively engaging in developing international networks and sharing knowledge and experiences with academic communities across the globe,” he remarks.

In his presentation, he highlights various aspects of his experience teaching international students, including those from countries such as Japan and Poland. Ubaidillah not only imparted academic knowledge but also offered broad perspectives on diverse cultures and different ways of life.

He provides insights into how students from various cultural backgrounds interact in educational environments and how this enriches the teaching and learning process. His experiences serves as inspiration for Nepalese students to open up more to international experiences and broaden their global perspectives.

Ubaidillah’s visit to Nepal is also part of the implementation of Unusa’s 2024 internal research grant scheme, the International Matching Fund. Through this scheme, it is hoped that more Unusa lecturers and researchers can establish academic partnerships with foreign institutions, bringing significant benefits to the advancement of knowledge and the enhancement of education quality in Indonesia.

“The International Matching Fund program aims to enhance international collaboration and strengthen Unusa’s global academic network,” he explained.
