Surabaya, February 13th – The final day of the Summer School at Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya (UWKS) is nothing short of spectacular. The participants makes the event truly unforgettable by showcasing their traditional attire from their respective countries and preparing Indonesian traditional food.

The highlight of the day is the awards ceremony, where participants are recognized for their outstanding contributions. Awards are given for Best Participant, Best Dress Code, and Best Traditional Food. One of the most exciting moments is when Leticia Freitas Babo, a Master of Applied Nursing student from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (Unusa), wins the Best Dress Code Award, proudly representing “Timor-Leste” with her stunning traditional outfit.

“I am extremely happy and honored to receive this award. Wearing my traditional attire here makes me feel connected to my roots while sharing my culture with friends from around the world,” said Leticia after receiving the award.

Beyond the competitions and celebrations, the true essence of the Summer School is the friendships formed among participants. Over the past days, students from different countries bonded through shared experiences, cultural exchanges, and insightful discussions.
