Surabaya – Coaching and providing information to students to earn Scholarships and continue their education to abroad are the main concentrations of the Global Engagement of Nahdlatul Ulama University of Surabaya (Genus). This is the way to support the development of the Indonesian nation through education. Many students still experience limited access to information about how to get a Scholarship, how to complete the correct documents, how to write personal statements and other problems that are often experienced by applicants.
By seeing this urgency, Genus tries to conduct Genus Talkshow Season 2 which is the continuing of Genus Talkshow season 1. This event is held different from season 1 that only bring one episode by the theme “Tips and Tricks to Win Scholarship”, Friday (14/08).
Akhmad Rizki Fauzan one of the participant comes from Bengkulu University said that this talkshow is very interesting and easy to understand.
“I’m grateful of joining this event, it’s very important and easy to understand. I hope Genus can hold other this kind of event really soon” said Rizki.
85 participants come from various region and the purpose of the Genus Talkshow Session 2 is to provide knowledge and information to participants about “Tips and Tricks for Getting Scholarships.
The talkshow with the theme Tips and Tricks to Win Scholarship was held online through the Zoom Meeting. It is delivered by two speakers. They are Edza Aria Wikurendra, S.KL., M.KL (Student of Szent Istvan University) and also Ns. Dyah Ika Krisnawati, S.Kep., M.Si., Ph.D. (Alumnus of Taipe Medical University). It is continued with a question and answer session by participants assisted by a moderator.
Wiwik Afridah as the Director of Genus said that this event is held to help awardee to be to prepare to get International Scholarship.
“Student Guidance through Genus Talkshow 2 with the theme “Tips and Tricks to Win Scholarship”, is expected to be able to help prospective awardees to be able to deal with existing problems. So that they can achieve the expected Scholarships and create independent, superior, contributive human resources. This Scholarship talkshow will be the way out for awardee candidates, open access to information and provide useful information on how to get International Scholarships for the sake of investing in high-class human resources in terms of improving the nation’s welfare” said Wiwik.
